EA Sports FC 26 is heading your way in September. Ahead of the game’s official reveal by EA, they have announced the FIFA 26 release date, along with the platforms on which it will launch.
As for the release, EA Sports FC 26 will launch on September 19, 2025, for those who purchase the Ultimate Edition of the game. Those who opt for the Standard Edition will receive the game a week later, on September 25 September 25.
Supported Platforms And Console.
As always, if you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or an EA Plan, you’ll get access to a 10-hour trial starting on September 19. Members also receive a discount if they decide to purchase the game.
Looking at platforms, EA Sports FC 26 will be available on all major systems. That means the game will be available on current-gen platforms like PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and, for the first time, Nintendo Switch. However, unlike other EA Sports games, the game will still be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the original Nintendo Switch.

Earlier this week, the developers confirmed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be the cover athlete for the game’s Ultimate Edition. The Standard Edition will have Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and Bayern’s Jamal Musiala grace the cover.

In its reveal trailer, EA highlights FC 26 as its “most community‑driven instalment yet,” featuring several gameplay overhauls. Refined gameplay fundamentals-smoother dribbling, revamped run curves, reinforcement‑learning‑driven goalie AI, and volumetric animations.
Additionally, there are two gameplay modes: “Competitive,” optimized for FUT and Clubs with responsive action, and “Authentic,” tailored for Career Mode with realism-first mechanics.
New player roles and customization options, which bring more personality to Clubs and Career Mode, are also available. The Manager Live, a dynamic career hub offering evolving seasonal objectives and real-world-inspired scenarios, is available.
Additionally, FUT enhancements include new Live Events, revised Tournament formats, and an updated Rivals & Champs experience.
