Daehong Communications, a key marketing and technology subsidiary under Lotte Group, announced the rollout of a blockchain-based ecosystem that aims to redefine the utility and transfer of digital assets. With Giftiel serving as a popular platform for mobile voucher issuance and redemption across South Korea, the integration onto Aptos signals a bold technological transition.
However, Lotte Group, one of South Korea’s most influential conglomerates with diversified interests across retail, food, tourism, and chemicals, is positioning itself at the intersection of retail innovation and Web3. By onboarding Giftiel onto Aptos, Daehong aims to create a more secure, transparent, and interoperable voucher system, potentially eliminating fraud and inefficiencies tied to legacy infrastructures.
